February 2024 / ENJMIN / Angoulême – France
For the first time ever, ENJMIN hosted its own edition of Eniarof, locally dubbed Angouniarof, bringing together students in a good vibes inside the school’s very own garage.
The event was the result of a collaboration between ENJMIN and the EESI (École Européenne Supérieure de l’Image). A large group of students from ENJMIN and EESI took part in a 5-day workshop, working in teams of 12 to develop their own playful, participatory, and offbeat attractions.

As per Eniarof tradition, the workshop kicked off with a cards drawing session : each group picked from the famous Eniarof Rule Cards to help spark ideas and set creative constraints.

The result? Nearly 18 attractions ranging from the bizarre to the brilliant, all exhibited in the school’s garage and showcased to the public on February 22nd, with nearly 300 visitors joining the experience.

To top it off, a small group of students designed a unique visual identity for the event, featuring a new mascot inspired by a forgotten local legend: General Resnier, the first “mad flying man” from Angoulême.

From the depths of ENJMIN’s garage and over five intense days, students transformed this raw concrete space into a buzzing funfair of interactive experiences with :

Outrunner : Two players. One bike. No mercy! The Outrunner is a two-player video game installation. Seated on a motorcycle, players are attacked by threatening entities approaching from both the front and the rear. The driver dodges obstacles on the road by steering the bike with a joystick and controls the shooting zone in which the passenger can interact. The passenger can shoot either forward or backward. To create a strong sense of cooperation between the two players, the driver must keep an eye on both screens using the rear-view mirrors and signal to the shooter when switching the firing directio
Guitar Invaders : Players pilot spaceships to defend the screen from waves of incoming enemies. The twist? The ships are controlled using electric guitars. The pitch of the chords determines the horizontal position of the ship, while strumming without pressing the neck fires a volley of shots. If players shoot and move in rhythm, they charge a special attack meter. Once full, they can unleash a powerful blast — complete with fog machines and LED lights for maximum stage drama. Enemies descend in sync with the music, attacking in increasingly intense waves. A cosmic battle where rock meets arcade.

Heart Attack Simulator : The game tracks your heartrate with a fitbit, you have to press buttons in rythm with your heartbeat. But the more you run quickly beetween each button to press them, the more your heartrate goes up, and the faster you have to go ! Keep going until you lose, or your heart gives out…

Crazy Head : A chaotic two-player co-op game where players squeeze into sleeping bags and race to hit floor buzzers in time with on-screen QTEs (Quick Time Events).
The faster and more in-sync they are, the higher their score climbs.
Silly, sweaty, and surprisingly intense.

Bot Catcher : Prove You’re Not a Robot! Bot Catcher is a playful interactive installation inspired by shadow puppetry. The player stands in front of a stretched white sheet, onto which the game’s main menu is projected. They choose the timer duration and the number of rounds for their game session. Once the settings are confirmed, a shape appears on the screen. Using their body and various available objects, the player tries to match the contour of the projected shape with their shadow as accurately as possible. When the timer runs out, the final shadow shape is validated, and a matching score is displayed on the screen. After completing all rounds, the player’s total score appears on the general scoreboard.

Piñattak : Struggle, release and … SMASH! Piñattak is an interactive installation where the goal of the game is simple: one participant launches a piñata at another using an improvised catapult, while the other player tries to smash it with a baseball bat. This project blends technology, playful release, and political satire to create an immersive and thought-provoking experience. The catapult is built from a swing seat stretched between two poles using carabiners, allowing players to launch the piñatas with considerable force. On the technology side, a WiiMote is attached to the baseball bat to measure the acceleration and striking power of the participants. LED panels and a television screen instantly inform the players of their performance: a “STRIKE” if the piñata is hit, or a “MISS” if it’s missed.
Bibliotech : Writing a book is really so easy… The ‘Achète!’ publishing house has released a revolutionary application based on artificial intelligence. Thanks to it, anyone can become a successful author! Using a simple questionnaire, the application quickly draws up an extremely accurate profile of your personality and automatically generates the book YOU would have dreamed of writing! The game is in two parts: – A questionnaire part used by the player on the stand. Around 20 random 2-choice questions are asked and the book is generated based on the answers given. There’s actually no AI, it’s all hand-crafted. – A virtual library that can be used in parallel by the public (and the player once their book has been created). You can browse and consult all the books created during the experience.
Tower Dream : Build towers guided by a strange voice. Tower Dream is a cooperative asymmetric game where two players must work together to build the tower of their dreams. One player takes on the role of a seer, able to see the tower that needs to be reproduced on their screen. Their only means of communication? A MIDI keyboard, where sounds and rhythms serve as clues for their teammate. The second player, facing cubes with illustrated faces, must interpret these musical signals to correctly assemble the structure. But with no words to guide them, communication itself becomes a challenge! Blending intuition, listening, and creativity, Tower Dream tests players’ teamwork and ingenuity in a unique experience that merges construction and musical language.
MephistoPlinko : Leave it to chance to entertain the Devil! Welcome to Hell ! We hope your trip went well. Unfortunately, the boss is in a rather bad mood… and you’re the 54,000th soul of the day. As Devil’s Advocates, we’re embarrassed to ask you to do this, but if you can’t get him out of his boredom, then the Earth might just disappear. Make the right choices – and, above all, master Plinko’s board, because she’ll make the choices for you !
Chant-pignon : Come and play musical mushrooms! Chant-pignon is an interactive installation in which players collaborate to create a unique sound experience. They have seven “mushroom hats” representing the notes of a scale, which they can associate with one of the four instrumental branches of the structure’s trunk.
Play Dohzilla : Shape your monster and wreak havoc! In Play Dohzilla, you find yourself in a miniature city adorned with beautiful lights. Everyone lives in harmony until you, a group of several players, come and sow chaos! Your goal is to turn off all the lights in the city in the fewest possible moves. Each player takes a turn, starting by rolling the four-sided action die. They can then either create a monster, move one forward, or destroy a building. Cooperate to clear a path to the generators, which illuminate the city!

TeleGrand : A screen that is big! TeleGrand is a collaborative drawing experience. Basically, it’s an oversized Etch-a-Sketch. Two players must coordinate to draw, each controlling one of the two large rotary knobs. One knob moves the cursor vertically, the other horizontally. A line is drawn wherever the cursor goes. TeleGrand is more of a (big) toy than a game, strictly speaking—there’s no specific objective other than to draw and have fun.

Marble Madness : Roll the marble, race the rail! MM is a racing game with trains, where movement is controlled by players using an alternative controller. Each of the two players has a unique panel with six holes. By rolling a marble into one of these holes, players can move their trains or trigger special bonuses.

Fatal_Err0r : Communication is your only lifeline. A two-player cooperative experience.
One player wears a suit covered with various buttons and a screen interface on their back. This interface displays random malfunctions that both players must identify and fix using an instruction manual placed within the environment.
Failures appear randomly and must be resolved quickly—if more than four accumulate, it’s game over.
A full session lasts around 3 minutes.

Gol Go Fight : Scan, sabotage, survive! Players take on the role of golems on a quest for radioactive balls hidden in a pile of trash. In competition mode, they must scan as many objects as possible (plastic balls decorated with QR codes) to score points while using certain items to sabotage their opponent.
Random constraints make their mission even more challenging.
