Kärl could be a Tamagotchi spirit downloaded into the body of a vacuum cleaner. If no one interacts with him for 10 seconds, his happiness gauge, indicated by LED bars, will empty and he will start to scream in despair. To fix this, you can play with the buttons on his body or take him for a walk. His gauge will then rise temporarily and his satisfaction will be indicated by the movement of his tail. Try turning him off by pressing his power button, and you’ll find an unsettling resemblance to a certain extraterrestrial race called Daleks.
